Handpan Studio expands with new handpan workshop instructor and handpan workshop locations!
We are incredibly excited to welcome Morris Weijers as our newest handpan instructor at Handpan Studio! Morris brings not only a wealth of experience and passion for the handpan, but also a deep-rooted connection to the instrument that dates back to 2010. His journey began with a Caisa drum and grew into an impressive career as a musician and teacher. From street performances and festivals to workshops at museums such as the Ethnology Museum and the Tropenmuseum, Morris has shared the handpan on countless stages. His dedication and love for the instrument make him a valuable addition to our team!
With the arrival of Morris, we are also expanding our workshop locations to the north of the Netherlands! From now on we will organize handpan workshops in:
- Groningen (City of Groningen)
- Friesland (Leeuwarden)
This offers music lovers from the Northern Netherlands the chance to participate in inspiring workshops, led by professional players and with high-quality instruments. No cheap handpans with no guarantee or tuning, but quality instruments that allow you to get the best out of your playing experience. During these workshops we will work with the Amaya Manu Series, and you will get the chance to try out the Mokum Instruments Handpan from Amsterdam.
We are greatly looking forward to working with Morris to further spread the handpan in the northern part of the Netherlands. Keep an eye on our website for the new dates and sign up for a unique musical experience!
