All the teachers at Handpan Studio we have come to know through a shared passion for the handpan. 4. Playing in a small group

Our two-hour workshops are held in small groups of up to 12 people, so that there is enough attention for each participant. This makes for an intimate and cozy setting where you can learn together and enjoy the special sounds of the handpan. The day workshop in Amsterdam lasts longer and therefore the group is larger to max 16 people. At the end of the day workshop there is also an extensive concert on different handpans.

5. Relaxation and mindfulness

In addition to the musical aspect, playing the handpan also offers a meditative experience. The warm, harmonic sounds and special resonance of Ember Steel handpans help you to be in the moment and release stress. A workshop at Handpan Studio is therefore not only a musical exploration, but also a moment of relaxation.

6. Ability to hear different hand pans.

At Handpan Studio we have a wide range of handpans of different brands, scales, quality and prices. During the workshop, we will play on the Amaya Instruments D Kurd. This handpan is tuned in the most popular scale and qualitatively it is in the mid-range. Ideal for a workshop. The teacher will also carry the Amaya Signature handpan, which is the Amaya handpan from just the highest quality segment. In addition, the teacher will always carry a Mokum Handpan, one of the top handpans in the Netherlands built in Amsterdam.
